Keynotes and Seminars

“Jeff’s keynote presentation had a room of hard to please professionals laughing, crying, and inspired. A great presentation.”
-Convention Chair, Georgia Speech Language Hearing Association

Book Jeff Alt for his “Life Lessons from the Trail” keynote/ or seminar.
“Thinking outside the box” has become the cliché catchphrase referring to a way of getting the creative juices flowing and coming up with new ideas to solve difficult tasks. Jeff Alt knows first hand that if you remove yourself from the hustle and bustle of your daily routine for an extended period, thinking outside the box becomes the norm because you are physically outside the box.
Jeff Alt entertains and inspires audiences with his dynamic multimedia keynote presentation combining humor and adventure, relating his 2,160 mile Appalachian Trail expedition, his 218-mile John Muir Trail expedition with his wife, and his family trek across Ireland, to organizational themes such as goal setting, surviving with the bare essentials, taking risks, perseverance, overcoming obstacles, and making a difference. Jeff offers a menu of speaking topics.

1. Life Lessons From the Trail

Jeff Alt takes you on his highly acclaimed and entertaining adventure along the 2160-mile Appalachian Trail. Jeff lived in the woods for 147 days dedicating his journey to his disabled brother. Jeff inspired an annual walk which has raised more than $260,000 for the developmentally disabled. Jeff demonstrates how seemingly unreachable goals can be accomplished by “Sharing Your Dreams.” Jeff shares life lessons he learned trudging through the forest encountering wild animals, rough weather, and interesting people.

“What a wonderful way to begin our Conference! Jeff spoke to the members of the Ohio Division, International Association of Administrative Professionals, about his “Lessons Learned from the Trail” at our annual conference held….He received rave reviews for his energetic and inspiring seminar. He was a true motivator for our attendees to set a goal, take risks, and enjoy the rewards!”
-Rosemary Deitzer, CAP,Ohio Division Annual Meeting Executive Committee.

“…Your presentation provided valuable insight and information and will be useful for our attendees as they move forward following the conference…thank you for being such an important part of our event!”

2. Get Your Kids Hiking Seminar

Jeff Alt provides “hiking with children” seminars including planning, safety, gear, clothing, training, and how to make your hike fun for the kids.  The simple yet profound impact of the great outdoors provides a positive outlet for a child’s healthy development.  With video games replacing the backyard, it’s more important than ever to introduce children to the outdoors as young as possible.  This seminar will provide you with the knowledge and inspiration you need to plan a hiking/walking and/or camping outing with children.

“…wonderful presentation, you inspired young parents to begin hiking or hike more often…participants especially found the equipment review and hiking tips very helpful…Seminar Participants truly benefited from the information provided them…”
-Regina Cardwell, Park Ranger Education Office Coordinator, Resource Seminars, Shenandoah National Park

3. Lessons on Taking Your Relationships and Family Outdoors

Jeff Alt presents his highly acclaimed adventure with his wife across the Sierra Nevada along the 218-mile John Muir Trail and his family trek in Ireland carrying his 21-month old daughter.  Jeff metaphorically explores the adventure experienced on your own journey as a family.  Jeff  entertains and inspires with his dynamic, high-energy, multimedia presentation, as he combines humor, adventure, and life changing experiences.
